Our Culture
Our Hospice family is a group of talented and compassionate staff and volunteers who work together to ensure we provide care and support to our residents, bereavement clients and their families. As a team we value Hospice Simcoe’s person-centred approach, focused on compassion and inclusivity, respecting each person’s right to dignity and self-determination when it comes to their end of life and grief experience.
Student Placements
Hospice Simcoe is committed to developing partnerships with educational institutions to offer learning and development opportunities for students from Nursing, Personal Support Worker, and Social Work programs. Students will have opportunities to increase their knowledge and skills to prepare them to meet the challenges in their respective field within the context of Hospice Palliative Care and Bereavement support.

Join our highly talented and dedicated volunteer Board of Directors! Potential members must demonstrate a passion for providing quality Hospice Palliative Care and a commitment to the best interest of Hospice Simcoe and the people of Barrie and Simcoe County. The Board of Directors meets approximately six times per year with additional participation in committee meetings and working groups. The Board abides by existing governance regulations for not-for-profit organizations.

Join our clinical team as a casual RN. Our team works together with residents and their family to provide pain and symptom management, psycho-social, emotional, and practical support, 24 hours a day.

(Personal Support Worker)

Hospice Simcoe is looking for a caring, compassionate health care professional to join our team. Our 10-bed residence gives people who are living with a palliative diagnosis the opportunity to live with dignity and comfort in a place that feels like home. The PSW will be responsible for providing assistance with all activities of daily living, as well as providing end-of-life care to residents, and their families. The PSW will foster an environment that is safe and home-like.
